We offer a wide range of specialist clinics and services.
At the beginning of October we introduced a new system for making appointments. When you call the surgery to make an appointment with a clinician, we will ask one of the clinicians to call you back. This will take away the issue of having no appointments to give you or asking you to call back the next day at 8am.
We have seen a huge increase in patient contact and have been able to deal with more patients per day than before.
When talking with the clinician you may receive telephone advice, which means that you may not require a surgery appointment, or you may be referred to another clinician. This system will allow patients to have contact with a clinician on the same day that you ring in. It's just that before a face-to-face appointment is given to you we will decide with the clinician if you need to come into the Surgery. You may express a preference of which practitioner you wish to see, however, should they not be available you will be offered the soonest available appointment with any other clinician.

The clinicians are available between 8.30am and 6.00pm daily with extended hours of up to 8.00pm (please contact reception for specific times).
Home visits may be requested for a patient too ill to attend surgery. If you need a doctor to visit you please telephone before 10.30am and give the receptionist some indication of the problem, which enables the doctor to assess the degree of urgency when planning rounds. In this widespread practice your help in attending the surgery whenever possible is vital.
The District Nurse is the leader of a Nursing Team. Please leave a message at the reception if you need any help from the District Nurse. Alternatively you may ring the Clinic Clerk to contact the District Nurse.
The Health Visitors attached to the practice are available to advise on all aspects of childcare. They are available and accessible for all age groups and all health problems. You can contact them through reception to discuss matters either in the surgery or in your home. Alternatively you may ring the Clinic Clerk to contact the Health Visitor.
If you cannot keep your appointment please inform the surgery. Cancelled appointments can be offered to someone else in need of an appointment.
Please be aware: This practice has the policy of requesting the Health Authority to remove patients from the practice list if they fail to keep three booked appointments in a three month period.
